Theo Abels 

Theo Abels, P.Eng, Principal of Blu 5 Technology Consultants Ltd, Qualified as a Mechanical Engineer in 1984 and has focused on corrosion management since then. Presently provides leadership in asset and integrity management programs in Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Sharing knowledge and experience with the next wave of integrity professionals is his goal.

Jim Yukes

Jim Yukes, AVH Engineering Inc, has over 25 years business development experience including Non-Destructive Examination, facilities and pipeline integrity services in Western Canada and internationally. Jim has been committed for over 5 years to IPEIA including Program, PR and Steering Committees.

Josh BrewsterJosh Brewster – Education Chair

Josh Brewster, CET, RSE is a licensed Pressure Welder, Welding Inspector, Welding Examiner, In-Service Pressure Vessel Inspector, and Welding Engineering Technologist with over ten years of experience in the field of welding and non-destructive testing. Previously, Josh was an instructor within the Welding Engineering Technology Program. He is now the Academic Chair of both the Welding Engineering Technology and Non-Destructive Testing Departments at SAIT. Josh is the Program Chair of the Calgary Chapter of the CWB-Association, a member of the IPEIA Education Subcommittee, National Non-Destructive Testing Certification Body Scheme Committee, Alberta Welding Optimization Committee, as well as the Canadian Council of the International Institute of Welding.

Izak RouxIzak Roux – CCIA Industry Group Rep

Izak J Roux DBA P. Eng. Izak was chair of IPEIA 2018. Prior to this he has been vice chair and program chair since 2015. Izak is also an active member of ASME and he is a member of two pressure vessel technical committees as well as of the Canadian CSA B51 Boiler, pressure vessels and piping standard technical committee. In Alberta he serves as chair of the Safety Codes Council’s Pressure Equipment Sub-council and the Edmonton Transit Advisory Board since 2015.

Keith GalliotKeith Galliot – Public Relations Vice Chair

Keith Galliot CET, Corix Control Solutions has been exhibiting at IPEIA for 7 years and decided this year to help with the Public Relations Committee of IPEIA. Keith’s experience with not for profit committee’s and regulatory board experience will be valuable to his work on the IPEIA committees. Keith is an Instrumentation Engineering Technologist with over 13 years of experience with Pressure Relief in Section VIII and Section I Applications.

Mark StonehouseMark Stonehouse – 2021 Program Chair

Mark Stonehouse, Becht Engineering Canada, Mark has over fifteen years of experience working in mechanical engineering design and analysis for the petroleum industry, primarily with pressure vessels and pressure vessel internals. His experience and expertise includes linear and non-linear stress analysis using the finite element method for design and fitness for service and includes a wide variety of FEA work performed involving plasticity, buckling, static, and thermal-transient analyses. Joined IPEIA’s Program Committee in 2017 but has been a supporter of IPEIA as an attendee and presenter and exhibitor for 10 years.

Brandon HuttonBrandon Hutton – Exhibition / Communication Team

Brandon Hutton a materials engineering technologist graduate from NAIT and I have been in the industry for 12 years now. Over the span of his 12 year career he has been a field engineering technologist, consultant and inspector. He started with TEAM in October of 2018 and is extremely proud to work with such a great team.

Adina Partridge – Pre-Conference Past Chair

Adina works in the software group of IRISNDT as the client relations director, to fulfill owner/users’ asset integrity and data management needs. She is an active member of the energy community in the Calgary area, and as part of that, she enjoys working together with the IPEIA committee members for the past three years.

Alison WeeksAlison Weeks – 2021 Chair

Alison has over twelve years of experience in the oil & gas industry with a strong foundation in inspections and integrity management. She holds professional certifications from ASET, NACE and API. Alison manages the Signalta Resources Limited Owner-User Program as well as Signalta’s Pipeline Integrity Program. She has been involved with IPEIA for the past 6 Years, sitting on both the Steering Committee and Public Relations Committee.

Jennifer DowdleJennifer Dowdle

Jennifer Dowdle, P.Eng. API 510/570/653, IBPV, TSask, NBIC IS Acuren Group Inc. In her 15 years at Acuren, Jennifer has worked in various laboratories understanding how material properties are influenced by their environments; then as a failure analyst looking at how/why equipment failures occur; and finally as a field engineer/asset integrity inspector to detect damage and ultimately prevent failures from occurring through inspections and preventative programs in the pressure equipment industry.

Paisley CameronPaisley Cameron

Paisley Cameron, Becht Engineering PONO, has over 6 years of welding and metallurgical engineering experience in the petroleum industry including design, new construction, maintenance, turn arounds, fire damage assessments, failure analysis, welding procedure specification (WPS) development and welding program integration. Her activities also include the development and revalidation of Corrosion Control Documents (CCD’s), Integrity Operating Windows (IOW’s), participating in corrosion and damage mechanism reviews. Miss Cameron is an active member of ASME, AWS and MTI. Those who know Paisley have described her as an extremely passionate and engaged welding and metallurgical engineer. In addition to her love of welding and metallurgy she enjoys acrylic painting, attending musical events, visiting museums and art galleries as well as piecing together stylish outfits. A favorite catch phrase of Paisley’s is “I enjoy dressing to impress and on separate occasions getting my hands dirty”.
