The Upstream Chief Inspectors Association (UCIA) is an organization of 36 upstream and midstream oil and gas companies focused on ensuring the safety, reliability and integrity of pressure equipment. UCIA promotes open dialogue between owner companies, industry groups and regulators, facilitates information exchange and provides feedback on regulations and industry guidelines, including representation on Alberta’s Boiler Technical Council in Alberta.

The Alberta Pressure Piping Contractors Association (APPCA) is established to discuss pressure piping fabrication, erection, construction, repair and alteration. APPCA’s objective is to promote and provide guidance to ensure support for recommended changes relating to purposes and requirements of Alberta pressure equipment safety legislation framework and other pressure equipment industry matters.
